I offer a comprehensive Greek introductory course designed to effectively teach how to read and analyse Classical Greek. You will learn the Greek alphabet, acquire a basic vocabulary, learn the cardinal syntactic rules, as well as the full Greek verb system. By the end of the course you will be able to translate original ancient Greek texts into English. No prior knowledge of Greek is required.

Fees & Benefits
The lectures can be viewed free of charge online (see Schedule). For course material, including exams and issuing of course certificate upon successful completion of the exams, the fee is 30 GBP/35 Euro. For additional tutoring through Skype, the fee is 15 GBP/18 Euro per hour.
Material & Scope
The course fee includes all course material. For the Greek texts we use Frithiof Pontén's Greek textbook and for grammar the latest Cambridge Grammar of Classical Greek (2019).
About the tutor
Dr Otto Linderborg is a UK-based Classicist with years of experience of researching and teaching Classical Greek and Latin. He has studied at the University of Helsinki, worked as a PhD Student/Researcher at the University of Uppsala, as a Senior Lecturer in Ancient Greek at the University of Gothenburg and is currently doing a postdoc at Mid Sweden University.
